First recorded on a late 50s, 78 disc by Irish fiddler Sean Maguire, later in Cape Breton this 'modern tune' circulated as The Magnetic Reel and was recorded by both Winston Fitzgerald and the MacLellan Trio. The composer, Burt Murray (1913-2003) was one of Scotland's most prolific composers. A favourite of Buddy MacMaster, this setting comes from Jerry Holland’s Collection.
