Mr. Able Banks was a favourite slow strathspey of many Cape Breton Fiddlers including the late Donald MacLellan. The setting given here is a hybrid, reflecting the playing of both Donald and that of pianist Doug MacPhee. The original setting was given in The Skye Collection. It has also been recorded by Dave MacIsaac.
