As recorded by Cape Breton fiddler Joe Peter MacLean, who learned this as a traditional strathspey. First published with this title as a G minor reel (Bremner, circa 1757), later, in 1773 the composer claimed it and gave it The title Miss Dundas. (see Cape Breton Scottish Collection ... (in the 19th century it appeared as Sir Ronald MacDonald - both Dr. Angus MacDonald & Ian MacDougall use that title).
