This tune was brought to Jerry's attention by fiddler Rannie MacLellan of Southwest Margaree. Both Rannie and Jerry learned the tune off a house party tape which had been recorded at Kinnon Beaton's the week before John Morris' tragic death. On that home recording, John Morris was playing with abandon for the third figure of a set. He played the tune three times through and made some subtle variations. Jerry arranged that performance into the setting above in his book The Second Collection . He recorded it solo in a medley with The Mortgage Burn on Crystal Clear.
